Aircraft Repair Technician
We are currently seeking an experienced Aircraft Repair Technician (Sheet Metal & Mechanical) to support field service operations, working on sub-assembly components, primarily wing tank structures and fuel systems. The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in aircraft structures and mechanical systems, with the ability to work in confined spaces and adapt to flexible shift requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform aircraft repair, maintenance, and rework activities on sub-assemblies, including wing tanks
- Install, repair, inspect, and modify fuel system components, including fuel system tubes and associated hardware
- Carry out sheet metal and structural repairs in accordance with approved engineering drawings, technical data, and procedures
- Provide field service support within the facility
- Access and work inside aircraft fuel tanks and confined areas as required
- Ensure all work complies with aviation safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Accurately complete documentation and records related to maintenance and repairs
- Collaborate effectively with engineering, quality, and production teams
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Aircraft Repair Technician (Sheet Metal and/or Mechanical)
- Strong experience working on fuel systems, including tubing and tank-related work
- Proven background in aircraft structural support and sheet metal repairs
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and technical instructions
- Comfortable working in confined spaces; no claustrophobia
- Willingness to complete confined space training (if not already certified)
- Flexibility to work variable shifts based on field service requirements
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience supporting aircraft programs
- Experience working in a field service or customer-site environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Work Environment:
- Aircraft manufacturing and maintenance setting
- Confined space work inside fuel tanks may be required
